Where does love begin? . . . At home
Let us learn to love in our family. In our own family we may have very poor people and we do not notice them. We have no time to smile, no time to talk to each other. Let us bring that love, that tenderness into our own home and you will see the difference.
Everybody in a rush
Today we have no time even to look at each other, to talk to each other, to enjoy each other. . . . And so less and less we are in touch with each other. The world is lost for want of sweetness and kindness. People are starving for love because everybody is in such a great rush
Not how much we do but how much we love
Never think that a small action done to your neighbor is not worth much. It is not how much we do that is pleasing to God, but how much love we put into the doing. That is what the good God looks for, because He is love and He has made us in His image to love and to be loved.
The warmth of a human hand
One day I was walking down the streets of London and I saw a man quite drunk. He was looking so sad and miserable I went right up to him and took his hand, shook it and asked, "How are you?" My hand is always warm and he said, "Oh, after so long I feel the warmth of a human hand. " And his face lit up. And his face was different. I only want to say that small things done in great love bring joy and peace.
….Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
